Vectra Bank Commissions Leslie Jorgensen to Create Art for New Corporate Center
Leslie is working on a series of paintings for Vectra Bank’s new corporate center at I-25 and Belleview Station in Denver. The nine-story, mixed-use building, is scheduled to open in December 2022.
Beyond four floors of office space and four floors of parking, the Vectra Corporate Center will also house one floor of commercial retail space. A hallmark feature of the building is a 4,300 RSF conference center for employee training and public events where Jorgensen’s paintings will be displayed.
“They wanted something to represent the four seasons in Colorado,” said Jorgensen, “In my mind, that’s Ski season, whitewater season, hiking season and biking season. They loved the idea and I’m thrilled to take on this challenge of creating something unique for this space.”
Coordinating this and the rest of the art for this massive project are Liz Graham (Liz Graham Art Consulting) and Jennifer Perlow (PS Art Consulting). “Liz and Jennifer have been masterful at handling the changing specs of a building that’s a work in progress and coming up with creative solutions whenever needed,” said Leslie, “I’ve really enjoyed working with them both, and that’s been a real gem of this project. They’re responsive and incredibly professional.”
Jorgensen’s four adventure paintings will be reproduced as wall murals that range from 11ft to 28ft wide. Behind each painting will be a topo map design. A red dotted trail line will run through them to suggest a journey and visually create a connection between the paintings.
