My New Spring Paintings at HRRMC

Spring has been a productive time for Mother Nature here in the Arkansas River Valley, bringing an alternating mix of new snow and sunshine. We just returned from a trip to Fowler-Hilliard Hut, part of the 10th Mtn Division Hut system in the Vail Recreation Area and the skiing was great. I feel lucky and blessed to be able to climb 9,200 vertical feet carrying a full pack on skis and still have the strength to ski the terrain near the hut over 2 more days. 

It’s been a productive time in my studio as well. I’ve been busy creating new paintings for my upcoming show at our regional hospital in Salida. Our hospital is a treasure trove of local art and they purchase a piece from each show for their permanent collection. I am grateful to Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center for inviting me to participate in this program. While we won’t know yet which painting is chosen, it will be the second of my paintings on permanent public display at the hospital.
