Picture yourself in the sun-drenched landscapes of Provence, France, where our September 2026 artist workshop awaits you. I’ll be teaching this plein air workshop where we’ll begin each day in a new location in and around the scenic town of Vaison La Romaine. We’ll start the session with a short demonstration and time to paint with lots of one-on-one instruction. Afternoons are up to you – you can use them additional painting time and on some days we’ll explore nearby villages, local markets, and even a visit to a vineyard. This trip runs on the same dates as our Provence Cycling trip so that spouses, siblings, or friends can bike while you paint (or vice versa).

Cycle the Back Roads of Provence

In September 2026 we’re coordinating a painting trip for artists with a cycling trip for spouses, siblings, and anyone else who would like to bike in southern France. The trips run on the same dates and we’ll stay at the same hotel, so we can all socialize and share meals and stories of the day’s adventures.
The area around our home base in Vaison-la-Romaine is known for its biking, and the Tour de France often climbs the imposing Mt Ventoux, the 6,000 ft mountain that dominates most views in this area. If you’ve dreamed of taking on the challenge, you’ll have an opportunity (but it’s optional.)
We’ll also explore the rolling hills, vineyards, and olive groves that flourish throughout this portion of northern Provence. We will ride Gravel e-Bikes that will serve us well in this part of France, with a mix of paved and unpaved roads. We’ll end our day together with a group happy hour and dinner to share stories of the day’s adventures. Learn More at Travel Fever Tours.
